I got the series one boxset on R2 only to find no special features. So when it came to getting the series two boxset i went R1 and got all the extras. As long as this is happening i shall continue to buy R1. Why is this continuing to happen? Do the people who put these sets together just think 'f**k em' or is there a genuine reason for it happening? Surely after all this time there can be no excuse?

I've pretty much given up with R2 when it comes to TV on DVD...There's times when it's better to go R2 (Rome, Quantum Leap season 2+3) but 90% of the Time don't waste your time...Or money!

Ordered the R2 Season 1+2 from CD for £14.99 each
Season 1 turned up this morning but they have yet to send out season 2. For those prices I'm not fussed about extras.
Nice digipack as well :D

That is one of the biggest bargains i have ever seen in dvd land!
For that kind of money the extras dont matter so much but i would still go for the R1 versions as its one of my favourite shows and i cant get enough of extras of my favourite shows.
The packaging is pretty good on Deadwood R2 releases but you should see the R1 versions! Like leather bound original copies of The Bible!!!

Never really got into Deadwood, but the way people are raving them and at those prices it might be time.

I didnt really fancy Deadwood at all and shunned it when it was on Sky. The thought of watching Ian McShane in a western didnt really appeal to me. My mate had been telling me to watch it as it was really good but still i didnt bother. The i had some vouchers last christmas for HMV so i went for it. How wrong was i!
What an idiot i had been! Even the current Mr Leg likes this show! But some of the language in it is harsh and so is the violence. Cant believe HBO have cancelled it.

It was under the Chrsitmas sale thingy (HUGE banner on cd wow)...MEGA bargains to be had for LOADS of dvds. Check out the DVD Times forums bargain thread or Avforums bargains for more info on this ace sale (Or not as you may cry at what you missed out on) :D
Like you said though, most have gone....CD WOW just sent out my Battlestar Galatica season 2 for £11.49 :D 2 days ago and I've yet to get Deadwood season 2.
I'm on episode 5 of Deadwood season 1 and so far I'm loving it you BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEPsucker :D...Oops...Guess I better watch just one episode a week because I can't stop swearing...Beep!
