With Peter Jackson out of the project due to disputes with New Line, who would you like to see direct The Hobbit instead?

I reckon Del Toro or Cuaron could be interesting.

I like Tim Burton, but I'm not sure he's right for The Hobbit.

i have heard that NEWLINE have given in to JACKSONs demands and they have made up but i dont know if that has put him back in the running for THE HOBBIT!!

george lucas,so maybe there will be some decent cgi in it,star wars supreme quality.nothing topps lucas arts and ILM.
tim burton is good for anything remotely fantasy or dark wise.
ridley scott could give it that legend quality, legend was truely an awesome fantasy movie, best ever made in my opinion.and no cgi, brilliant.
basically hobbit needs a experienced, quality director and im sorry to say that jackson just ain't that quality director.king kong was over hyped n poor(like most films these days)and i dont rate lord of the rings atall, the animated rotoscope movie with john hurts voice was far darker n superior, considering when it was made.im a hard man to please and very pickey.

what about guillermo del toro?very good at dark, imaginative, horror n fantasy.i think he could really add a adult darkness to the whole thing.
