Review: Long lost horror-comedy Bloodbath At The House Of Death is a surreal 80s treat. Scripted by whimsical comedy kingpin Barry Cryer and featuring a cast led by Kenny Everett, Vincent Price and Pamela Stephenson, Bloodbath focuses on Headstone Manor, a remote country retreat plagued by mysterious robed figures who mutilate the Manor’s unfortunate guests. Eight years later, Dr Lukas Mandeville (Everett) and Dr Barbara Coyle (Stephenson) are summoned to the house to investigate a succession of bizarre paranormal incidents. It isn’t long before they cross paths with the Sinister Man (Price), a 700-year-old Satanist whose commitment to malevolence knows no bounds! The cast is swollen by all manner of other comic personalities and the narrative is riddled with tongue-in-cheek references to all manner of classic horror films. Eat your heart out Shaun Of The Dead!
