Are you as excited as we are? Indiana Jones and The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull has now had its premiere in Cannes (and they even put a table out so you all the old men could have a sit down, bless them). Just a few more days and everyone gets to have a look. All we can say is the movie had better be good, or else there’s going to be trouble!

Some of the reviews that have appeared online this morning seem to confirm my worst fear, that it’s all a bit bloated and unnecessary - I just hope it’s not as bad as The Phantom Menace

The reviews seem a bit mixed, but Indy IV comes with such ridiculously high expectations, it was always going to have difficulty living up to them. Hopefully it’ll just be a lot of fun. The trailers were fairly entertaining, so let’s hope the rest of it is too!

Finally saw this last night after much anticipation, and I can happily say it wasn’t as bad as I feared, and was probably as good as could be expected. I think some of the criticisms I’ve read about the over-baked plot are probably right, but aside from that I’d say it was a proper Indy movie in many respects - which is all anyone could want, right?!
